Housing Works Design on a Dime

For the last 4 years, I have been lucky enough to attend Housing Works' Design on a Dime event. It is hands down one of my most favorite events in the interior design community and I am already getting excited to see what amazing things the designers will create this year!  I'm posting a recap of previous years here so you can get an idea of the fantastic vignettes and designers you won't want to miss!

Please follow the following links for more information and to also purchase your own tickets for this years event.  You don't want to miss this one :)

Join Founding Chair James Huniford and Honorary Chairs Lara Spencer, Co-host on ABC’s Good Morning America, and Nate Berkus, Interior Designer and Author, along with Co-chairs Michael Boodro, Editor in Chief, ELLE DECOR, Todd Oldham, Designer and President of L-7 Designs Inc., George Oliphant, Host of NBC’s George to the Rescue, Evette Rios, Interior Designer and Correspondent for ABC’s The Chew, for New York City’s most popular interior design benefit, Housing Works’ Eleventh Annual Design on a Dime. Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, the 3-day event features over 60 of the world’s top interior designers, who create unforgettable room vignettes with new merchandise, which is donated and then sold for 50 to 70 percent off retail pricing!

Proceeds from Design on a Dime benefit Housing Works’ newest supportive housing development, the Hull Street Residence. Hull Street is a from-the-ground-up housing development project that will transform a vacant 6,000 sq ft. lot, into a beautiful and safe home for 26 single, formerly homeless adults living with HIV/AIDS.

The ticketed VIP Opening Night Reception will take place on Thursday, April 23 (VIP access at 5:30 pm).

Attracting a star-studded crowd, the Opening Night Reception is celebrated with hundreds of VIPs, designers, and friends of Housing Works. A-list design enthusiasts mingle with top designers, including event chairs. Guests will get the first public look at the room vignettes and enjoy exclusive preview shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and live entertainment.
